Our Staff
Our staff welcomes you to our preschool!
All of our staff have completed the necessary training to be teachers in any and all of our classrooms.

Cindy Meckl

Cindy has been part of Hearts & Hands Preschool since its founding in 2004. She began as a member of the preschool committee, became a teacher in 2006, and stepped into the role of Director/Administrator in 2007.
A member of the Oconomowoc community since 1993 and First Congregational UCC since 1994, Cindy is deeply rooted in the area. She and her husband, Andy, were married in 1990 and have two children, Renate and Easton. Their two rescue dogs, Jordie and Cobby, keep life lively. In her free time, Cindy enjoys cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and college softball, as well as traveling, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, gardening, and spending time with family.

Deb Schuyler
Deb became part of the Hearts & Hands Christian Preschool family in 2007 and says she truly loves coming to work each day. She not only enjoys continuing her own education, but also believes she learns something new from the children all the time.
Deb and her husband, Tim, both grew up in the Oconomowoc area. When Tim entered active duty with the Army in 1987, the couple spent years traveling. Their daughter, Alyssa, was born in Hawaii in 2002, and after Tim’s retirement in 2006, they returned to Oconomowoc. The Schuylers are members of First Congregational UCC.

Nyla joined the Hearts & Hands Preschool team in the fall of 2025 as a teacher assistant. She is excited to be part of the preschool and loves watching students learn and grow throughout the year, while getting to know each child better.
